Say Goodbye to "The Holiday Binge and Belly Bloat" and Hello to a Light, Lean, Clean Body!

Pink flamingo nails, "Orange You Beautiful" Carrot and Cran Detox Juice in hand and your feeling FABULOUS! I just created this detox juice and I feel so darn amazing! I just couldn't get to my lap top quick enough to share this recipe with you all.
ENERGY! That's the best word to explain how this juice makes me feel. Oh, how my body needed this! I am always experimenting on myself and enjoying the benefits and results of living an almost fully raw lifestyle.
Over the last few days, I have consumed more than usual cooked foods and boy did my body feel it. Emotionally, I felt kinda blah. Physically, I felt tired and draggy. The other day, I was completely off my raw routine and I just couldn't seem to get out of my own way.
This morning I woke and read some emails from my clients. Instantly I was inspired from their experience with the “Be...Beautiful” program and how it's helped them through the holiday binge and belly bloat. "It's amazing!” they say. “I just didn't crave for the junk! What I craved was my “Go Green” juices and smoothies!”
So out comes my juicer! I open the fridge and grab a few quick and easy to prepare fruits and veggies. Into the juicer it all went and what came out was this beautiful bright orange juice. I grabbed a wine glass, some celery and a tangerine to garnish. Ta da! Not only was my elixer totally fabulous looking but it tasted so fresh and sweet.
One of the best things you can do for yourself in 2010 is to buy yourself a juicer. I promise it will change your life. Juicing is the most powerful, quick and easy way to consume all your fruits and veggies in one quick shot and let's be honest here, we do live in a world of convenience. Rather than chomping on salad all day long in order to lose weight and get healthy, all you have to do is get yourself a juicer and drink up. Just watch your waist line shrink and feel your energy burst. You will glow from the inside out. Now that's what I call BEAUTIFUL!
Kelly's "Orange You Beautiful!" Energy Blaster Carrot & Cran Detox Juice.

This juice is amazing for detoxing your body after all the holiday goodies. You'll need the following:
• Juicer machine (I personally use the "Jack Lelane Elite" juicer , aprox $129 or you can get the new bullet juicer for around same price at Canadian Tire or Walmart. You can also get juicers for less money at both stores.

• 1 large Red Delicious apple, peeling on

• 1 large orange peeled, with rind on (that's the white skin under the peeling. This is full of vitamins and nutrients)

• 2 celery stalks

• 1 cup fresh cranberries

• 2 large carrots, peeling on
Juice in this order. Makes approximately 2-3 cups of juice. Pour into a fancy glass and garnish with veggies and or fruit. Drink. You will feel light, lean, clean and full of energy!

Even Honey (our family dog) loves raw veggies! As soon as she hears the cutting board come out she comes and sits down, waiting patiently with her big brown puppy dog eyes, smiling at me and waiting for her veggies. We call her "Veggie Dog". Here she is, waiting like a good girl while I make my juice. Carrots and snow peas are her favourite!

Sending lots of powerful beautiful vibes your way;

Too Much Sweets, Treats and Oh So Much To Eat!?

Does your belly feel like it weighs a million pounds? Let me help! Here's an elixir I drink everyday to keep me feeling BEAUTIFUL! The lemon is a natural cleanser and diuretic which helps your body remove toxins and best of all, get that belly de-bloated!  We all need that after our turkey dinners and full boxes of chocolate! The cayenne pepper acts as a metabolism booster to help your body kick into high gear, helping you naturally burn those extra calories you consume over the holidays.

Kelly's Be...Beautiful Lemon-AID:

  • 8oz of filtered water
  • Juice from half a fresh lemon (use a hand held juicer)
  • A dash of cayenne (drink at least 2 lemon-AIDs with cayenne per day)

If you find this a little too tangy for your liking, you can add a tsp of agave nectar which is a natural sugar that does not elevate your blood sugar levels. Personally I like it without, it's much more refreshing.

Drink 6-8 lemon-AID's a day. Your belly and waist line will thank you for it and you'll feel fabulous when zipping up those sexy skinny jeans!

Forget the Mac and Cheese, Can I Have Some Green Juice Instead Please!

I just had an awesome experience! My cousin's little girl was here with my daughter Hannah and they were hungry for lunch. I told them I would make them something as soon as I made my green juice. I then whipped up a fresh veggie tray for them and set it on the table.

Meleah looked at it and said "Oh, I don't like those veggies. I want something else!"
"Well," I said "can you give them a try?"
"Yeah!" said Hannah "they are so good for you and they make your belly happy!"
On the platter were juicy red pepper sticks, zucchini wheels and celery sticks. Bravely, Meleah bites into a red pepper.
"This is good!" she says
"SEE!" said Hannah

So I continue on making my fresh green juice in my juicer. Busy as a bee, I lift my head to check on the girls and here is Meleah cheerfully enjoying the zucchini wheels! I was thrilled! "Good for you Meleah! I'm so proud of you giving all these veggies a try."

I then pour my "holiday goddess" green and cranberry juice into my favourite wine glass. I take a big drink kind of unsure how it will taste, expecting it might be very bitter from the fresh cranberries I added. "Oh yum, this is so good" I said.

Instantly, Hannah and Meleah shout out at the same time "Can I try, can I try?"
"Sure, here you go."
Hannah goes first as she is very used to healthy elixirs "Meleah, you have to try this" she says and passes her the juice. A little weary but tickled with wonder, Meleah takes a drink. "Kelly this is good! Can you make us our own?"

I can't even start to explain how empowered I felt at that very moment! Not only did Meleah realize how much she enjoyed raw green veggies, but the fact that when gently encouraged, supported and inspired, our children become empowered by their own choice to eat and drink what makes them happy!

Like Hannah said to Meleah over a wine glass full of green juice, "This is so healthy for you Meleah, it makes your body shine!"

From Hannah, Meleah and Me;

Big "Green juice" cheers!
